I haven't been able to fully hear out of my right ear all week.
It took me still a few days to figure out why. My office is very hot so I sit with a table fan not far from the right side of my head. I've done this now for a couple of months and then Tuesday, the ear just started humming loudly.
I've lost approximately half the hearing and most of the ability to hear the higher tones. I can't tell which direction sounds are coming from until I look around.
The doc says I've irritated/damaged some of the nerves that pick up pitch. He says it will go away eventually and I'll be able to hear again, but damn! It's driving me nuts right now!
Good vibes for quick healing, sweets! I had lost the hearing in one of my ears for a few days as a result of watching a Blue Oyster Cult concert from the top of one of the stage speaker boxes when I was in college. x(
