It's HOT in So. Calif.
what the hell?

96 near the beaches yesterday. We were hotter than Las Vegas.

And of course I decided to clean the house and work in the yard on the hottest day of the year!

Is it just us? or is there odd weather elsewhere for this time of year?

Boo-Hoo.
It's cold here in Mid-west Minnesota. It's a very hot 34 degrees F. :grr: Hell, we got snow coming. :grr:

It was in the 60s last week...it was kinda odd, especially for Minnesota...

9. It's almost 60 in central Wisconsin today...
...but tonight and tomorrow: 30's and probably snow.

Just one of the delights of the Upper Great Lakes region -- a 'taunting' spring.

Suppose it's better than constant 'slushfalls' (where huge clods of soggy half-frozen slush fall from the sky). That's probably what we'll get tomorrow.

24. It's near 60
and the fucking rivers, creeks, and brooks are above flood stage so the farm fields near my house look like lakes.

Although I will say I'm glad I'm not in Antigo right now.

I remember two years ago, was a mild winter with only two major snow storms bookending the season, first on Thanksgiving Day, second on... April's Fools Day..

We had a cool front come through. Today's high only 74. Tomorrow it's going to be 81.

It's supposed to rain all weekend though. :-( Spamarama is this weekend, too. www.spamarama.com

10. I'm upset they changed the Spam eating contest!
It used to be the fastest eating an entire can of Spam. Now it's Spam burgers? :wtf:

The Spam toss is fun. Some of the recipes are, um, strange. But some are good, too.

Edited on Mon Mar-29-04 03:30 PM by mitchtv
had record breaking heat last week(100's). pool got up to 79 degress so I went in and cleaned it. table grapes have tiny grapes on the vine. Not to worry a big storm will cool the coast and a little bit out here , too. I'm glad the snow birds got some nice weather, before they leave, and I wish they would, soon.

33. Saturday out in the desert was great! Joshua Tree for the wildflowers....
temps were very mild, even a little chilly in the higher places like Key View. And the park is stunningly beautiful. This was only my second time there & my wife had never been. She was initially not enthused - it was not yet hot on Saturday, but still, spend the day out in the desert? So she was amazed by the place also.

Hope this doesn't set off another weeping fit, Bertha Venation...;-)

and produces prototype parts for the automotive and aerospace (i.e. war machine) industries. Instead of manual machining there is a computer connected where he draws the part and then inputs what he wants the machine to do basically, using a program called MasterCam. :hi:
