Being Forgetful
Lately I think I've become very forgetful. Little stuff mostly, like not remembering when I've taken pills or when someone was not in the office. I forgot I was to meet a friend next Sunday, she says. I thought it was Saturday.

I've never been conscious of being forgetful before and it's kind of frightening. I'm only 47. I've recently been in a course and I'm learning new stuff, but damn, does that mean I have to forget everything else.

I want my mind back. :scared:

2. Relax
You don't have a memory problem...most likely....it's a matter of concentration and how much you have on your plate from day-to-day.

If you're really concerned then go see a doctor about it but I wouldn't worry too much over it yet.

 at least until you start hiding your own easter eggs

3. Ve vill gif it back at ze end uv ze experiment...

I know that feeling. Last week my daughter had a half day..and I knew she had a half day (had planned activities around it even). At 11:30 there I am sitting on the phone gabbing, KNOWING that it's 11:30 and yet forgetting to pick up my daughter who was getting out at that time. It's about a twenty minute drive to school. :( It is scary. You are right about that. I think maybe sometimes we have far, far, far too much on our minds... :hi:

4. I stole your mind
if you are concerned go to your Doc. Talk to him/her about it.

Could be nothing, could be something

5. Sometimes the pills will do that...
I was taking vicodin for pain a coupla months back, and could not remember a LOT of stuff (weird...could see all the details ABOUT the answer, but the answer itself was always fuzzy). Once I stopped the Vicodin, I was okay...

Good luck...I know that scared me a lot when it happened!

6. I'm 45 and have that problem
Especially when I'm stressed out. I've found that I've got to take my vitamin regimen or I'm hopeless. I take a B complex multi, a menopause supplement, glucosamine/condroitin, and ginko biloba. I was told that ginko helps with memory, which may be true; but I need to take all of those to feel like myself.

8. I'm forgetful at times, and I'm only 31
It hasn't gotten any worse (I've been this way as long as I can remember- oh the irony ;)) over the years and it isn't major stuff. One instance is that my mom asked me to go to dinner with her one day. I forgot about it and had a really big meal right before the dinner date. She'd only asked me that morning.

Have you had a lot of things on your mind, lately? I find I get more forgetful if I've got a lot of stuff on my plate. Also, I think there are some herbs that are supposed to help boost memory. You may want to check into some of those.

9. Stress can do that
When my anxiety was at its height, I'd forget stupid stuff that I've just done. I mentioned that to my therapist and she said that was common with anxiety. A coworker of mine was also concerned about memory loss and her doctor told her that as well. I think that any kind of physical illness can diminish your mental abilities as well.
