CONFESS!!!!!!!! What gives you gas?
Come on, don't be shy - what foods, if you eat them, are guarenteed to be memorable for the rest of your day (if you know what I mean).

ME? Lactose and I are not friends, not even on speaking terms!!!

9. gluten!
I started getting real sensitive to gluten about a year ago. Since then, I lost 20 pounds. So blessing in disguise--no bread, no pasta etc. So I look real good, but man, will I get scewed up if I eat it. Bloating, gas coming out both ends. I imagine the gluten rotting inside me, not getting digested.

13. Milk
I'm lactose intolerant, also.

Funny story. I used to team drive big rigs. At one time I had this partner who got really bad gas from eating something or other. I warned him that if he did not stop, I would drink a big old bunch of milk to get revenge. Well, he did not stop so I was forced to bring out the big guns. I drank one of those big bottles of milk that you can get in truckstops and I had gas for about five hours. We're talking serious SBDs here. After that, my partner saw things my way.

15. Guinness, Harps and cabbage...
The week of Saint Patty's day, I was waking myself up in the middle of the night. You know, I thought I had stopped laughing at my own farts years ago, but I those badboys had me giggling at 3am in the morning.

A few times, some of them were so fierce, I felt it better to fire 'em off on the commode, just in case.

and the older I get, the worse they are to me. I have to pick them out of my food now, or my husband will divorce me.

Ever set off a smoke alarm in your sleep, without realizing it was you that did it? My ex-husband did that after one particularly memorable batch of chili. Set the alarm off in his dorm room, dutifully went and stood outside in the cold for 10 minutes until he realized no one else's alarm was going off. Went back in, back to sleep. Did it again. Did this three times before he realized he was producing the cloud of noxious gases that was setting off the alarm. Now, THAT'S gas.

23. Get Beano for the Bean Farts!
Beans have a protein that your stomach doesn't break down, but the bacteria in your lower digestive tract do. A drop of Beano on your first bite adds an enzyme that lets your stomach break those down, and hence less gas!

27. Same here. Just about everything....
Of course, my diet is a far cry from being considered "healthy".

Thankfully, I only get a craving for White Castle burgers about every three months or so.
