remember this guy and his radio show you old time 'frisco area music lovers? I don't but discovered a compilation CD of this dude's old radio show and it's pretty cool, has old radio commercials for local businesses and this guys cool rap.

3. Franklin McCormack: The Torch is Burning

Sorry to highjack your thread to the midwest, but back in the 50's there was this super romantic midnight radio show - I think it was on WGN of Chicago, and for those of us teenagers with a 1 a.m. curfew on Saturday nights, it was great to listen to in our parked Chevy Belairs. He played a lot of Julie London, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett.
