You know what's really cheesy?
I hate it when English people try to say the names of people/places with the accent of that country. You know, like dorks who say Mexico like "Mehico"

In Canada its really bad, all the reporters try to say French Politician's names in a French accent. It sounds so dumb and laboured.

Do these people not realize other language speakers are not faking an English accent when they say "America" or "New York"

It make them sound like twits

I hate that shit... sadly, it's usually done by those who are attempting to be "culturally correct"... and I appreciate the motivation behind such attempts.

Bottom line, though, you sound silly and pretentious when you do that kinda shit.

Whenever I'm down south. Sure I sound stupid doing it, but it's a fun way to talk sometimes.

7. I agree. It's especially bad with the names of Spanish places.
Like "Ni-ha-rrrrrrrrrrrra-wa" and "Wa-tay-ma-la."

I've also heard people suddenly breaking into the Arabic Q, as in al-gggggggaeda. I think Joe Lieberman does it.

That solves all problems.
