Any hipsters in here heard a good conspiracy theory lately? For a while I was afraid that maybe Americans had lost the independent-minded critical intelligence to come up with really great conspiracy theories any more. But I didn't have to worry for long. Soon many courageous Americans were again coming forward to track down conspiracies at the highest levels. More and more courageous individuals are doing it every day now, and the trend has spread around the world. Folks are ready to expose the whole Conspiracy Planet. What've YOU got to offer?

But sadly enough, I have passed it onto real journalists. Hence, let them tell it. Or not, if it doesn't pan out.

Journalists working for the U.S. Corporate media have recently found themselves in the worst position in the world for telling the truth. Speaking to some fellow journalists in London, Dan Rather said that since 9/11 he's felt like he'd be "necklaced" if he even asked a too revealing question that the powers that be didn't want answered. Back in Apartheid times, journalists and others in South Africa who told some truth their Government didn't want to hear, would be "necklaced" with a hot melting tire, with the burning rubber sticking to their skin like Napalm.

It's a lot more common for the most important part of the truth to come out on the Internet these days. Here, there aren't just a few huge corporations controlling everything.
