My brother figured out why his drier wasn't working.
when he took it apart he found a rat snake in the vent. Now that the vent is cleared it dries clothes just fine. He turned the snake loose in the woods.

3. Rat snake in the peanuts.
A friend was driving by a peanut patch during harvest.
Pulled over and asked the farmer if he could buy a bag of peanuts.
"Sure."

He bought a loaded bag (huge) and put it on the passenger side of his pickup.
A few minutes later a rat snake came 'snaking' out of the bag.
Brakes slammed on.
Truck cab vacated.
Eventually, snake 'freed'.

If he hadn't, that would result in one DEeeeehydrated reptile! (not to mention an overheated dryer can start a fire)

We were helping a friend move one time. Picked up a box together in the garage and a snake crawled out. Brother ran like there was no tomorrow and didn't stop for a block.
Garter snake.
