Dear student loan people:

Thank you for taking the $500 I was supposed to get back in taxes.

I needed that money for things like FOOD.

Instead you took it and applied it towards my student loans.

I used to owe you $31,000. Apparently now I owe you $30,500.

I hope you're happy. Assholes.

It sucks that they are permanent, stick with ya even in bankruptcy. So far Ive been managing to make my payments, but it costs me as much each month as rent even after consolidation. Plus they refuse to give me a fixed rate, which scares me in case the economy ever recovers and my interest rate goes up.

2. Well, if you haven't adjusted the amount being withheld

from your pay, you should do so now because any future "refunds" are going to be snatched.

I prefer to owe Uncle Sam money every year at tax time, just so I'm not making an interest-free loan to the feds. You have just experienced another reason why you don't ever want the feds owing you money.
