It's Bush's fault I can't get my birthday cake!~
Well my birthday is this weekend and I had been looking forward to getting a birthday cake from this restaurant in Dallas called "Tippin's". (They had delicious cakes)

Of course when I tried to call them tonight to order it, I discovered they'd gone out of business.

Because of the many other businesses I've seen close in this city, I really wasn't surprised.

Screw you Bush and your pathetic economy - I wanted that damn cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. and to add insult to injury ...
Bush loves eating desserts. There was a bizarre interview with him back in December 2000, when he was gloating over being able to order up the most exotic pastries from the White House chef.

I can just picture him, stuffing himself with pastries, and smirking. Who cares if other people can't enjoy themselves because of his mismanagement? "Let them eat cake ... heh, heh."

"Bush can't get beyond his genuine fascination with the White House mess hall:
"The dessert menu is unbelievable ... esterday at the Blair House we had
this, I'm not even sure, coffee ice cream surrounded by this unbelievable
meringue, beautiful meringue." And Bruni informs us that well into his first
year in office Bush is "still raving about ... little red button in the private
dining room off the Oval Office that he could use to summon the butler.""

Damn him to hell - throwing salt at me.

Hey thanks for the offers of a homemade cake! DUers are the best!

I've got to have my cake tomorrow at noon when I get off work to kick off the weekend.

I am, and have always been a Cake HO! (Especially when it comes to my own) Ha Ha

So, I'll probably just get the butter cream icing kind at Albertson's - which was my former favorite before I discovered the now out of business "Tippin's".

6. Find out who the owner/baker is..
They may be "freelancing"..from home.. Once a cake-baker, always a cake-baker:)

5. I used to live in Dallas
Up until a couple of years ago. The economy there is pretty bad now, just like everywhere else.
