Back from France. Had a wonderful time!
We were in southern France traveling with our daughter. Amazing trip. Great food, wine, sights, and people.

4. You must have loads of pictures. Do post them here. I'd love to see them. I went to Paris and ended
up taking photos of food store windows the food was so good and well presented. LOL!

17. The best thing I ate was...
Confit du Conard. The fry a duck leg and thigh. Then they can it in its fat. Then they refry it. I had it three times and it was done differently each time. The best was served in a cream sauce with cepes. Second best thing was the almond pastry. Unbelievable food overall. The 'French really know how to eat!

18. Our itinerary.
We flew to Toulouse. Then drove to Albi, Limoux, Foix, Tarbes, and Bayonne. Side trips to Biaritz, several Basque villages, and San Sebastian in Spain.

21. The car was diesel
And got incredible mileage. We only filled up twice. So it cost around $120 for the whole trip!

Ouch, that sooooo stings! But sometimes the experience is just worth it, there are times when we can't worry about money, we have to live in the moment and enjoy everything around us.

At least, that's my excuse for blowing my bank account every time I go to Western Europe!
