Finally got up the nerve to watch that calf video.
Who are these spawns of Satan that do this, and why are they allowed to live?

1. I watched it too. Sick sick individuals. I really didn't think
I would get through the first five seconds. I figure that they beat their wives/girlfriends and are in bar fights all the time too. I want to do the same to them, and I usually abhor violence. But I want these people to suffer. They are inhuman as well as inhumane.

And on another note, I don't think that this graphic of a video is good for their cause. I will not have the nerve to ever click on another video that they have.

2. I concur
The first five seconds were maybe the most disturbing 5 seconds of video I've ever watched. While I am very sympathetic to their cause, they've lost the ability to impart any further information to me in that format- I'll never click on that kind of video again.

They're not shocking people into action, they're just giving people another reason not to address the issue.

Cut off nose to spite face?

3. There are humane ways to raise meat and dairy cattle, and to
slaughter cattle for meat. People don't want to make any connection between the living animal and the meat in the white package, but they won't give up eating meat, either, so they just look the other way.

Drive down the NYS Thruway bt Syracuse and Rochester, and you'll see a dairy farm with a hundred or so of those little igloos that calves are kept in now. You'd be arrested if you kept a dog chained up like that, and cattle are social animals. Still, I haven't heard anyone demanding that farmers be paid enough for their product to stay in business, let alone raise their cattle properly and pay their laborers a living wage!
