BUSH Beans. Nunn BUSH. Get where I'm going?!1

There were these great looking walking shoes, velcro strapped. In years past, before the Shrub regime, I maybe bought that brand one time, perhaps even after Poppy. But the level of detestation I achieved over Shrub has made anything named "Bush" vile.

The bean commercials are so cute with that dog, but those I'll never buy. Well, there is also the Trappey beans because they have a picture on the label of raw beans spilling out of the whachacallit hemp? bag and the edge of the bag looks like a SNAKE. I reached for a can of those when I first saw the resemblance and recoiled.

I will return with illustrations.

ON EDIT: O.K., back with the pics. But it looks like the Trappey people did away with their old label and no longer have a snake reference, so I'll take credit because I actually *did* call their 800 # back in the day and told them how creeped out I was. The woman on the phone stifled her laughter.

Now it's bugging me: What is the name of those coarse-material bags for beans and such?!1

For that very reason. I'm sure they're a very nice family. But I guess I couldn't buy Hitler Baby Powder either.

This would be the N-B Venture on the left and the Florsheim Fairmont on the right. The Florsheim has a more defined heel, but the "monk" strap is DOUBLED over: It goes from one side, through a metal latch, then back on top to vecro-down on the same side it started on. The N-B is a simple "monk" sewn from one end and just crossing over the top to velcro-down. Plus, the Florsheim has an annoying little seam at the front of the toe box, and the front end looks foreshortened and high on the sides, while the N-B has an alligator smile (think "Disney") look.
