sooooo... I didn't get accepted into grad school. Give me a hug.
It's not surprising.I've been out of college for a long time and just had brain surgery,for crying out loud. I had my hopes too high.
It'll be OK.The free clinic's gonna have to wait an extra year.
I do need a hug,though.

just got a call from National Coalition for Homeless Veterans...wanting me to participate in the next stand-down in Dallas. There's no way I could have done that.Now,I'll be able to.

I was turned down for grad school by some of the finest universities in the country. So, I applied at schools that weren't so fine and was admitted.

26. Actually, there's a serious point to be made here. When I was applying years ago for a Ph.D.
program in Anthropology I applied to Harvard, Yale, UC Berkley, U Michigan and several others. Turned down by all. So I applied to some second tier schools and was admitted to several schools. I ended up with a Ph.D. from UW. Milwaukee and was quite happy. My advice is even if you get denied by your first through tenth choices, go for your eleventh or twelfth. Don't give up if it's really what you want to do.
