I'm 47. Am I supposed to look like this?
This guy says he's 46. I don't think I look that old, but I'm a year older than this dude. What's the problem here? Do I not worry enough? I met a couple at the beach this weekend. They were gray and wrinkly, but both of them were in their mid 40s, both younger than me. It's getting kind of embarrassing the fact that I don't look my age. Would this change if maybe I started acting my age first?

This is what I look like now ==>

In more casual moments I look more like this

I may have been a mere 46 when this shot was taken.

4. I tried to buy a child's ticket into a museum last week. I told them that I may not look eleven but
I can act really immature. They all stared at me in a bored and vacuous way, as if they'd heard this story before and weren't buying it

6. I am 54 and have yet to see my first gray hair
I can also still swim across lakes (OK I was 53 last time I did that, but it was a 5 mile swim). And I bet I could kick your 46-yr old ass. Yes INDEED! :D

8. I look a little younger than I am too :)))))))
Part of it is how I act, I guess. People have a hard time believing I'm 40 when they see the corny way I sometimes act
I have a relative who's a few months younger than me but looks much older.
I'm TERRIBLE at guessing anyone's age, I won't even try it, ever.

You're lucky to look younger!!

9. Well, I wouldn't accuse you of lying if you said you were 47.
You've got one of those faces that is hard to pin down as to age. If your hair was grey you wouldn't get so much argument. My husband's like that. Until he began to go grey he got carded. Now, no.

You're a fine looking fella, 47 or 37 or 57.

10. I got carded all the time well into my 30's but something happened around 42.
Edited on Mon May-23-11 09:12 AM by Gidney N Cloyd
Middle age kicked in suddenly.
Still it always seemed to me like my married friends aged a little harder than I did. Must be the kids.

15. yah! it stopped immediately when I was 40
I got carded a lot when I was 39. Then I turned 40 and it's never happened again :( Like all of a sudden it was official, I looked older.

12. I'm 48 & people are stunned when I tell them
when people ask how old I am, I ask them to guess first. They are always wrong---they always guess mid-30s.

And I have gray hair all over the place (which I still color cuz I'm vain that way ;) )

Most people there looked waaaay older than I do. My wife thought so, too.

25. I have 10 years on you, but that guy looks like he could
be my damn uncle.

(I can't include a picture right now, so you'll have to take my word for it.)

Dunno why I still have all my hair, and it's still black; it's not like I've ever taken care of myself...must be the American Indian blood doing its job.
