4. I like a good joke bit I feel this is evidence of animal abuse.

Sorry! You're actually right.

My grandmother's Siberian Husky weighs over 80 pounds. He's so heavy he can barely eat while standing up and I couldn't really figure out why - she feeds him a good dog food (Eukanuba) and he has a large back yard to run around in. A couple years ago I spent two weeks with her while she recuperated from surgery and quickly discovered the reason... She feeds him lots of people food. And I mean LOTS of people food - two full pieces of toast with jelly and butter every morning and whatever is left over from her lunch and dinner. And that's on top of the dog food that sits out for him to free-feed all day long. I've tried to talk to her about it but she's in denial and thinks she's treating him to a very charmed existence but all she's really doing is making him a very husky husky.
