Dogs just never cease to amaze me.
Tornado Dog Crawls Home On Broken Legs Almost 3 Weeks After Deadly Alabama Storm (VIDEO)

Mason, as WAVY-TV 10 refers to the dog, was blown away during the storms. He had been hiding in a garage when the storm picked him up and blew him away on April 27th.

Perhaps most astounding was the extent of Mason's injuries.

They've not been able to be in alignment so neither one of them have healed, so he had to crawl on two broken legs to get home," said veterinary Dr. Barbara Benhart.
"This is probably the most dramatic we've seen as far as an injury in an animal that's survived this long," said Phil Doster, an animal-shelter worker.

This story just has me in tears. Or maybe it is just that I had too much wine at dinner.

1. No, I choked up after seeing this story.
But I always do when animals are injured or abused. When I was a kid, I cried while reading "Black Beauty" and seeing the Bambi cartoon.

2. Speaking of Bambi....
my older sister took me to the theater to see Bambi. When Bambi's mother died, I went hysterical and could not be consoled. I thought that my mother had died. She had to take me home right then and there to prove to me that my mother was still there. Talk about empathy! I have never seen the end to Bambi.

7. LOL, I remember seeing that at an underground film theater
back in the 70's. It was distressing then because I was definitely not ready for that!

4. To See That Tail Waggin Was So Heart Warming
Their spunk, courage, determination and quest to go back to that human home is something dog abusers can never understand. They bond so easily and have loyalty even for abusers. But this little guy once again has a happy home.

5. I cannot imagine what this dog had to go through.
The bond that dogs have with humans is something that I think, with all of our intelligence, we will never comprehend.

9. Give your little "Mason" dog a chin scratch for me.
The more I have heard about this story, the worse it seems to get. What a trooper!
