To Reality TV - At least try and be believable...
Watching the Extreme Makeover show but the weight loss edition.

This enormous woman writes to the trainer to compete/request the privilege of having him train her for a year.

So the day comes and the camera crew is inside her classroom and she is "SO SURPRISED" when the guy walks in. Maybe the crew gave it away? At least follow the guy in and pretend... Sheesh...

I dunno... probably over thinking it.

1. This is a common issue for "reality" TV...
I've seen it on other shows too. The crew is inside the apartment of a friend of the main character. The character knocks on the door and the friend is like, "Oh, it's you!" No. Really? Thought it was another friend who sends his camera crew on ahead...

2. The only reality show that I ever watched
was a British one called "Spy". It wasn't like any other reality show (the participants were competing in real espionage and spying scenarios.)

I remember a fair amount of it, but can't remember any instance where it seemed like the participants knew they were going to be on camera ahead of time. Such as when they were all individually abducted in the middle of the night, heads covered in black bags, hands tied behind them, and taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation. Their reactions were not those of people that knew something like that was going to take place. It was a really exciting show and the only one I'd recommend at all, if you can find it. :hi:
