1. he had a heart surgery in late May I think it was

and has had some (I think) minor complications.
He is still in the hospital but things appear to be looking bright.
He has posted a bit thatnks to a laptop Kali and CalPeggy got him.
And a big thanks to Kali and CalPeggy for all they have done for Mom and in keeping us informed.

5. The 'heart surgery' was a 'simple' valve replacement, I think,

not a 'major' procedure. But since then, he's been shuffled between hospital and rehab several times. None of the reasons have seemed (to me/us) to be 'major,' but more than nuisance, and keep popping up. We hope this is the end of it, but have lost some confidence in decisions of med personnel re: keeping him in hosp or not, to observe and see to long-term stability.
