Finally programmed my internet radio
I got it for Christmas last year. From then on it has been so hectic (or the allergies have been so bad) That I never took time to program it.
So since it was 102 today, I could not go outside. So I finally got that little chore done.
My first 9 stations:
1) Old time radio (shows like Dragnet and Jack Benny etc.)
2) KTNF in Minneapolis (lefty radio from where my kids live)
3) CFZM Toronto - they play great old time R&R music overnite
4) a christmas station (now I am just having fun)
5)WAMU washington D.C. 9couldn't get the local NPR)
6)CBC Toronto
7) New Zealand all news station
8)Oldies project out of London, Eng. - had some different music than I was used to.
9) BBC London

That is as far as I got, but I am excited.

Since it is impossible to have any idea what 99.99% of the 20,000 plus stations it gets have as their format, I am open to suggestions.
I am not much on music - interested in something from Australia, Scotland, maybe Ireland. I would also like a decent sports station. Most around here are Fox sports which sucks just as bad as Fox News.

1. If you don't want music, I can't really help.
But I am curious as to what brand you have, how it connects to the Internet and what the quality is for the sound :)

It is wifi, so all it needs is to be able to access your wifi. It also has capability for ethernet.
Once it accesses your wifi, it downloads all the internet radio stations.
You can then pick stations by country or genre(such as 'old-time radio') or by entering call letters.
The quality of sound is for me, excellent. Unlike land based radio, there is no fading or bouts of loud and soft etc.

i am a radio-phile and have been since I was a very young lad. With this radio, I can travel the world.

3. Technically, I have "wifi"
but my modem doesn't seem to want to talk to the wireless card on my desktop. (I'll figure it out eventually.) I would assume it would work for something like this.

I was looking at a review of other models on Goodhousekeeping of all places, and the one thing that seemed to come up on most of them was the unit "timing out", presumably when trying to search stations. I may have to do some more research, but I'd love to have something like this :)

Oh, your link didn't work, so here's the one from the manufacturer for everyone else:

4. That looks really cool!
But I'd use it mainly for music. I love SOMA. I know you're not that interested in music, but SOMA has a bunch of different genres to choose from. You might like one of them.
