The new Winnipeg Jets logo
I like it, it's old school Canada looking.

1. I like it, too.
Very retro, and the colors are different for a sports team.

4. Nice!
Part of me wishes they'd go back to the old logo, but these are really nice, too.

7. For some reason I don't recall...
they can't. It was something dumb too like they let the TM expire so it's in the public domain and thus they'd never be able to sell official merchandise exclusively or stop counterfeiters. The Nordiques too.

The TM still applies on the Whalers stuff because the team (or more precisely, Pete Karmanos) still owns it, not the league, and has maintained the TM.

5. it's okay, but
there isn't much contrast between the leaf and the jet, so at very small usage, especially in black and white, I think it will get a bit muddy looking

6. Saw these yesterday (yeah, it's summer, but I go to NHL.com daily anyways lol).
I really like them a lot. I feel bad for Atlanta losing a team (again), but am psyched to see Winnipeg back in the fold.

8. I was surprised that Atlata even got a second team...
As surprised as I was that both Winnipeg AND Minnesota had lost their original teams. Atlanta just isn't a hockey town, while the other two are. I can't believe the Hurricanes lasted this long, either.

9. The Hurricanes have great fans.
Still wish it was Hartford, but the Canes get great support. I'm more surprised that Dallas and Phoenix still have teams.

I also think the Wild need be go back to being the North Stars again. Screw Dallas. :)

a matter of time before Phoenix moves too.
