Suprise! Jesse James calls off wedding to Kat von D

You know, I'll admit I didn't see this one coming. I thought they'd marry, then get a quickie divorce:

(Reuters) - The ex-husband of actress Sandra Bullock has called off his wedding to new girlfriend, tattoo artist and reality TV star Kat Von D.

Jesse James, 42, announced his engagement less than a year after being divorced by Bullock, who discovered days after winning her first Oscar in 2010 that her husband had been cheating on her.

James told People magazine on Tuesday that he and Von D, 29, had called off their engagement and split up because of the difficulties in maintaining a long-distance relationship between Texas and Los Angeles.

"The distance between us was just too much," James said.

Von D, who appears in the TV series "LA Ink", said in a Twitter message. "I am no longer w Jesse and out of respect for him, his family and myself, that's all the info I'd like to share."

1. I blame the Republicans
If these two crazy kids can't make it in this world created by Republicans, none of us has a chance!

Either that, or James sobered up enough to realize he was contemplating marriage with a woman who likes to cheat with married men. Or Von D came out of her drug-fueled fugue long enough to figure out that her husband-to-be wasn't exactly faithful to his wedding vows.

2. That's a shame....not
I did the long distance thing for a year and he then moved out here to live with me.....they both are too immature to have a lasting relationship anyway, IMHO.

3. They broke up because they live too far apart?
And these are people who are in love? And who were going to get married?

Two adults, right?

Yeesh!
