OMG...I love My Morning Jacket...

I heard their music for the first time on American Dad the other night and I've completely forgiven Seth McFarlane for hogging up the joint with his cartoons.

Please tell me something about them.

1. The most important thing I can tell you: See them live.

Pound for pound, they're the best live act on the planet right now, or at least were when last I saw them a couple years ago.

Also, Jim James' work outside of MMJ is generally damned good too (e.g. Monsters of Folk, which may have produced the best album of 2009, and his work on the I'm Not There soundtrack with Calexico, which resulted in a stunning version of Dylan's "Goin' to Acapulco")

2. I saw them on Conan last week. I had never heard of them.

I loved their sound and their look. Had trouble enjoying them b/c I can't get the player to play in a lower bandwidth and I was hoping I could find that performance in You Tube.

The Conan show I stumble through by hitting the pause key for about 30 seconds each time it starts to buffer on me. Hey, he's worth it!

I will be looking for more of their music and will probably even buy an album. The song is kind of stuck in my head even though I don't remember exactly how it goes. Maybe I can find the link:
