San Antonio: Rumsfeld, Rice, Myers there Aug.25 Monday!

I just noticed this in the SA paper and thought I would pass it on to any San Antonio area DUers who might want to give Rumsfeld, Condi Rice, and Gen. Richard Myers, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, an appropriate welcome. They will speak at the VFW convention Monday. They will be going various places but the article mentions the time 7pm for their banquet appearance. Sen. John Kerry will also be there.

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld will address the 104th Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention later this month in San Antonio, and likely tour installations here as well, the Defense Department said Tuesday. Rumsfeld, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice and Gen. Richard Myers, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will make same-day appearances as the convention opens Aug. 25, as will Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., a Democratic presidential hopeful.
