Senator Wyden is running for reelection in 2010. He opposed the bail-out and now healthcare because he thinks no one will challenge him in the primary and then he can sweep to victory as a DINO DEMOCRAT in the general election. Does Oregon deserve to have a DINO Democrat like Lieberman?

Ask Congressman DeFazio to challenge Wyden in the primary -- that would get Healthcare reform another vote, and it would get Oregon two Democratic senators.

And, indeed, there letter exemplifies a growing sense among centrists and health reform skeptics that the pace of reform should be slowed down. But it's also a restatement of very publicly held views. Earlier today, Nelson himself appeared on CNN and suggested congressional health care leaders should not to move too quickly.

Perhaps this is why he's not listening to his constituents.

I told him he would lose my vote if he didn't support public health care. I don't want to lose DeFazio in the House. I just want 2 progressive senators. I will support Defazio if he challenges Wyden, but there are other good candidates too.
