some suggestions - i find well written articles in the periodicals or on the internet, yeah? i don't want really long ones. people here in the states are impatient and don't want to read much. i go to kinko's and make copies and disperse those copies around the city. i've nothing better to do on my days off from work and it doesn't take too long. restrooms, restaurants, bus stops, city parks, on campus, at work, downtown, etc. every copy's a recycle symbol on it as well. and the placement isn't tacky or obtrusive. one can make lots of copies for $10.
write a thought provoking statement or question on a bag or a book or something that you carry around with you. people will notice. and hopefully they'll ask you questions about it - now you've the chance to make your opinions heard.
create signs along the roadways. too often i see sign after sign after sign with such worthless things as numbers of players on a lady's basketball team spread quite a way along the road. i've put up my own signs in the same fashion...agian with questions or statements on them. sometimes pictures, too. i think no one driving 55 mph on the highway will take the time to stop and remove the signs.....unless they really strike a nerve! then a certain mission has been accomplished, though.
and though it is illegal, spray paint works wonders. it's childish and it's vandalism, sure. but it gets a message out so bloody well. i would not paint on private property, however. too many people work too hard and needn't have to deal with cleaning it up. which most people would feel obligated to do. there's no sense in costing them money. paint messages, questions, and political cartoons, NOT profane language and the like. your credibility is lost then.
there are lots more. and there are 24 hours in each and every day. leaving more than enough time to do something . . ..
