SO-CALLED LIBERAL MEDIA: E-mail Kelli Arena (CAP)

Yesterday, CNN Justice Department correspondent Kelli Arena spread the unsubstantiated myth that al Qaeda has a
preference in the upcoming U.S. elections. Arena, who is supposed to be an objective journalist, claimed, "there is some
speculation that al Qaeda believes it has a better chance of winning in Iraq if John Kerry is in the White House." Arena's
comment came on the same day Kerry called for 40,000 more troops in Iraq. E-mail Kelli Arena at kelli.arena@turner.com
and tell her to stick to the facts.

Don't forget to remind her that so far, BUSH has given Al Queda everything they want:

1. Got rid of Saddam (a secular leader)
2. Helped recruit almost 20,000 new terra-ists
3. Closed all US bases in Saudi Arabia
4. started a religious war

I just heard that BS on CNN a while ago. Here is my letter:

I just heard on your show that Al Qaeda wants John Kerry to be President. Essentially you are telling your audience "a vote for Kerry is a vote for terrorists."

What proof do you have for that? You couldn’t find experts who think that since President Bush was so unsuccessful in his war on terrorism, Al Qaeda would rather have him in the White House? Or is the White House paying you for disseminating their propaganda?

This is so utterly disgusting. How dare you call MY vote a vote for terrorists.

Your unsubstantiated comments concerning "some speculation" have irreparably compromised any journalistic integrity you pretend to have or may in the future seek to acquire. There is "some speculation" that you are a media whore.

Ms. Arena,

I can't believe I just heard this nonsense about the terrorists wanting Kerry to win on your station. Since when did CNN become shills for the Bush White House? This is an example of disgusting yellow journalism that is far better suited to Fox News. There hasn't been a better recruiting tool for terrorists than George W. Bush and his illegal war in Iraq. Don't you people realize you have a responsibility to report the facts and not wild speculation that could impact a national election? I cannot possibly express my anger and contempt for you and your station in mere words. You are nothing more than a propaganda outlet for the neo-cons and you make my skin crawl. It is quite apparent that journalistic integrity is something completely beyond your ken. Shame on you.
