OMG. Did Dean really say this?
"We will side with any country or government that takes our position not to recognize the government of faux-president Bush. We welcome the Zimbabwean position, as it shows that we are on the same side with other democratic countries in the world," said Howard Dean, M.D., the US Democratic Party's Governor of Vermont and a rumored contender for the 2004 Democratic nomination for the US Presidency."

"We definitely welcome all those moves, which serve to render the Bush regime illegitimate," he added.

5. A google for "Zimbabwean CERJ "Howard Dean"" got only 3 results
the one listed and 2 yahoo groups.
http://www.google.com/search?q=Zimbabwean+CERJ+%22Howard+Dean%22

However, a good for "John Wilmerding" turned up about 1,650. He's either with the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC or a Libertarian from Vermont or someone who hijacked the name to post to various online forums. (or, just possibly, some other John Wilmerding from DC?)

11. Well,

I'm on Wilmerding's CERJ list, and he's not the most reliable purveyor of news, but far from the worst. More of a blog than the usual mail list.

He's also been known to put some parody and satire on the list. He doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor himself, but a lot of his contributors do.
