Cleveland Democratic congressman Dennis Kucinich has posted an urgent video request for campaign money on his congressional re-election website so he can "immediately" record television ads to answer those from rivals.

"Right now, I'm under attack by corporate interests, most of them from the city of Cleveland, who have an agenda that has nothing to do with the people of my community, nor with most people in this country," Kucinich says in the video.

"Already, television commercials are flooding the Cleveland airwaves with a message that is designed to try to knock me out of office," Kucinich continues. "I've served with honor and dignity in the United States House of Representatives. I've led the effort against the war and for peace and for fair trade and for a not-for-profit-health care system, and now I need you to make sure that I can continue this work."

Meanwhile, Kucinich's wife, Elizabeth, continued stumping in California for his presidential campaign. According to this report from the Santa Cruz Sentinel, Kucinich himself is scheduled to be in California on Friday to attend the Santa Cruz County Democratic Party's annual fund-raising dinner.

Cimperman ad blasts Kucinich voting record

http://blog.cleveland.com/openers/2008/01/tv_ad_bashes_kucinich.html

Cleveland Councilman Joe Cimperman will start airing a TV ad (see above) on Wednesday that bashes Rep. Dennis Kucinich for missing votes in Congress and ignoring the 10th District while he campaigns for president...

The 30-second ad, titled "Quitting Time", blasts Kucinich for missing more votes than most any other congress representative.

Kucinich has missed 139 votes (11.6 percent) during the current Congress, including key votes on predatory lending and veterans health care, according to a database of Congressional votes compiled by washingtonpost.com.

Khaled Salehi, Cimperman's campaign manager, said the ad will be broadcast on network and cable stations. He would not say how much money is being spent to air the commercial but said it was a "healthy buy."

Kucinich challenger touts his credentials and experience

North Olmsted Mayor Thomas O'Grady strongly believes he's the best qualified of five candidates running for the job now held by Congressman Dennis Kucinich...

He's running along with three other Democrats challenging Dennis Kucinich. He admits that makes it likely they will split the anti-Kucinich vote and keep Kucinich in office.

Kucinich Tests the Fates Again

http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/4397

Dennis Kucinich screwed up so badly as Cleveland mayor that he gave us Mayor, Governor and Senator George Voinovich, almost three decades of the Republican politician.

It’s unforgiveable now that Presidential candidate Dennis – apparently out of pride and ego – will give us Congressman Joe Cimperman. Cimperman plays a politician of the people. Yet he follows the agenda of the downtown greed gang. He as happily feeds on their money as eagerly as athletes do on growth hormones.

Get out of the Presidential race, Dennis, or suffer the wrath of voters who have more sense than you apparently do.

Likely, only the overly-ambitious Cimperman himself, playing the eager fool, can save you. You must know that the Pee Dee and Tee Vee will be as avidly in favor of Corporatist Cimperman as it is ardently against you...

One Kucinich opponent running against him again

Barbara Anne Ferris is hoping for a different outcome in her second race against Congressman Dennis Kucinich.

Ferris has been a legislative assistant, worked for the United Nations and helped promote economic development around the world.

Two years ago she got an endorsement from the Cleveland Plain Dealer in her unsuccessful challenge of Kucinich...

Rep. Kucinich will debate his four challengers in a City Club debate on February 19th.

Was Yucca Mountain the Real Reason Kucinich Was Silenced by GE?

http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/4363

So why does this matter? Congressman Dennis Kucinich is the only Presidential contender to have voted against using the proposed site and General Electric, which owns NBC and MSNBC who ran the debate yesterday, didn't want his take on the whole mess that the United States Government is brewing.

John Edwards, stealing a convenient tactic out of his former running mate turned foe John Kerry, has stated that although he voted for the plan he is now against. Thanks, John.

Hillary Clinton continues to vote in favor of Yucca Mountain's funding which has cost the taxpayers of this nation upwards $7 Billion dollars.

What about "Mr Change" Barack Obama? Well, he votes in favor of Yuka Mountain and while doing so is taken major money from backers in political donations...

Kucinich Vows to Fight for Changes to FCC Law

http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/4362

...In speaking of "waste", Kucinich was referring to nuclear waste and the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dumpsite northwest of Las Vegas. Kucinich believes that GE is keeping him off the air because he joined the state in opposing the dump.

"Now the media has become an issue in this campaign by trying to determine who should be in this debate," continued Kucinich.

Dennis Kucinich vowed that he will fight for changes to Federal Communications Commssion (FCC) law to ensure future candidates don't suffer from the same discriminatory practices as he has, and can participate in debates.

"This underlying corruption is something that undermines our democracy. I’m asking you to continue our efforts to stand up and speak," said the Cleveland congressman.
