How Edwards (or Lieberman or Graham) Could Win
Basically, their scenarios are pretty similar:

If Dean wins in both Iowa and NH, than these 3 all have similar strategies. Take up the moderate mantle and win in SC than in the many moderate-conservative states that hold primaries next. A string of primary wins would take this person into a battle w/ Dean for the nomination. It would become a two-man contest between Edwards/Lieberman/Graham and Dean.

Should Dean take both Iowa and New Hampshire, that other person has an excellent shot of being the nominee, esp. since (unfairly or not) most of the party's leaders will be backing Edwards/Lieberman/Graham.

Personally, I think if this is the scenario that emerges, Edwards will be the nominee, or, at least, the person that emerges as Dean's rival.

All the current talk is of a Dean-Kerry showdown, but I don't see it happening. One can survive to see a two man contest. The other can not. They're fighting on the same turf -- NH will be the end of the road for one or the other -- Dean may be able to continue, buthe'd be severely weakened.
