1. Interesting Idea, But Strange Results

Kucinich is more of a centrist than anyone but Lieberman? Would this be affected by his anti-abortion positions?

This a graphic from the Libertarians IIRC.

6. Never heard of them
http://www.issues2000.org/John_Kerry.htm

I don't hold this to be definitive, of course. It would be fairly stupid to think so.

10. there is a site CALLED political compass
http://www.politicalcompass.org

They do a better job IMHO of creating a two dimensional grid of political thought than issues2000. The Libertarian Party had a "test" with an outcome grid very similar to this one. The central space was marked "Libertarian" and unless you were Stalin or Hitler, it was close to impossible to test outside of the Libertarian box.

12. I Know The Political Compass
I'm an anarchist communist! I'm not sure how I pulled that one off.

But I don't know the libertarians you're referring to. They sound like fun people.

7. Many of the above are erroneous.

For example, since many of Dean's positions were unknown, they left it in the middle, making him look more moderate.

In addition, I find a tripartite foreign policy/economic-fiscal/social policy evaluation to be more representative.
