Are you better off since Bush became president?
I found an interesting paragraph in an article about a recent poll. I think this is one of the main things what democrats should emphasize in the campaign. Are you better off now? NO seems to be ahead...

Support for Bush on Iraq stabilizes

<snip>

Asked whether they were better off since Bush became president, 17 percent said they were doing better while 25 percent said they were worse off. Bush’s net negative rating on that question is the worst in any Post poll since President George H.W. Bush, whose poor ratings on the economy led to his defeat in 1992.

3. Easy answer.....no
My personal situation may be a tad bit better off financially, due to various reasons, none of which have anything to do with having the pretender in office.

Overall, with the country heading down a treacherous path, I have to answer "No".

The country as a whole is worse off, therefore I consider myself to be worse off.

Lets see.....increased risk of terror due to the shrubs screw em all attitude,

increased risk of not finding work should my current job not work out,

increased probability that the damage done to our environment will be that much harder to correct given the administrations backsliding on clean air, clean water, etc.,

I could go on but I think the point is made.

The question is not so much financial as "overall".

4. I lost a third of my blind trust retirement income since he took office.
The principal is still almost all their but income is gone. Odd as the bank called me after Bush got in and said things looked bad and they move things around so I would not lose principal but income would go down. And a bank told me that on a Rep.
