Dean changes the way Bush campaigns
It's nice to see the Republicans on the run for once:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A11609-2003Aug18.html

<snip>

Clearly cognizant of the Web frenzy over Democrat Howard Dean, Bush's aides held a conference call to preview the site, which replaces a bare-bones one that has raised $1.3 million from 6,000 donors since the campaign launch May 16.

---

The not-so-subtle prototype section labeled "See more Hispanic photos" has been replaced by, "See more Environment photos." Visitors are invited to "forward this image to friends and family!"

1. But the republicans is they don't want people to see what is happening
"Let's look into candidate Bush's environmental record". Ok, once you get behind a catchy phrase like "Healthy Forests Initiative" or "Clear Skies Initiative", you find a shameless giveaway to big business.

Healthy Forests Initiative: Cut down a huge swath of live trees to pay for "thinnig the stand" and removing the deadfalls.

Clear Skies Initiative: Allow old power plants to keep belching pollution as they have done for decades.

The truth can only help us. I cannot wait for the campaign against Bush. "Bring 'em on!"

4. Not only that...
...but the Bush team misses (perhaps intentionally) the point. It's totally ONE-WAY communication. Here's what Bush (Rove&Cheney) think, now agree, better yet, copy and paste this text and spam people with it. With the secrecy and almost maniacal reaction to dissent these jackasses have, you think they'd have anything even remotely resembling "feedback"? I mean, COME ON. This POS isn't a "website", it's an advertisement for a falsely advertised, media managed product. A product that costs too damn much, and puts our children in danger. I'm looking forward to the Bushblog, I really am...

5. You've hit the nail squarely on the head
what kind of "discussion" could such a website every generate?
