Today, I heard a live Kucinich speech on NPR

And he was marevlous! Now there are two Democratic candidates for whom I would enthusiastically cast my vote. (The other is Howard Dean.)

2. I hear ya... and once you hear him speak...
he is a wonderful pseaker . I enjoy his sense of humor and the way he never talks down or patronizes questions that I would want to just stare at people for even asking...he is patient and most willing to answer any question at length.

He knows all his subjects/issues forwards & backwards and always has an answer. On the rare occasion he doesn't, he says so & tells the person he will find out. I like that in a person...to know right where you stand at any time...

Dennis has a charisma you don't expect!!

Peace
DR

I'm sorry, I have a lot of respect for DK, and especially for his positions, but you'd better be careful or that will become his official campaign slogan! He's a terrific candidate, and I'm glad he's in the race. That just struck me as funny.

4. My dream team
is a Kerry/Kucinich, Kucinich/Kerry combo...

DK is *really* not afraid to take on the status quo that has been running America for too long. Like Big Business, insurance companies, etc.

He is a great person!

5. try to see him in person
I saw him at a food co-op in San Diego ... a prelude to a larger rally held a couple hours later that night ... the sun hadn't set yet ... I'm standing on the store's balcony over-looking the parking lot ... in rode Dennis ... he got out ... I waved to him ... he waved back ... he came upstairs where we were gathering ... shook everyone's hand ... spoke up close and personal ... he know how everything is interconnected and related, and what needs to be done and/or changed if we're going to have a sustainable life in the 21st century ... healthier ... and better organized, etc. ... with less stress to boot ...

6. the coming transformation
http://www.commonwealthclub.org/archive/03/03-07kucinich-audio.html

I suspect the speech you may have heard was a rebroadcast of DK's 7/31/03 talk at the Commonwealth Club of California. It was broadcast of KQED last Friday and this week has been playing on various NPR affiliates.

It is a remarkable speech. With allusions to Crichton, Kubrick and Tennyson, it is Dennis at his most literate and visionary. I would encourage anyone who has not yet bothered to listen to any extended Kucinich discourse to suspend preconceived judgments and listen to the tape. No other candidate comes close in their ability to weave extended metaphor into a coherent message of positive change. Yes, it may be too sophisticated for sound-bit driven media, but it provides deep thought for those open to it. Courage America!
