Moseley Braun to recieve NOW endorsement
Well, I speculated last month. Now Lynn Sweet is saying that it looks official. Carol's set to recieve endorsements from NOW and from the National Women's Political Caucus.

(Oh, and about that meeting with John Kerry (whisper, whisper). I think I can safely dispel any rumours that Kerry will be endorsing Braun any time soon. He believes he can win and will be taking his message to the voters.)

Now, there is one candidate on the trail who claims that "you won't find a better feminist running for president," but I think that's debatable, don't you?

1. Too little too late
CMB is not going to be able to win the nomination. This may prolong her candidacy a few weeks, maybe a month or two; but she clearly is going nowhere.

2. Carol's momentum
is headed in the right direction.

Clearly.

Don't be downhearted because your guy is sliding in the polls, and gets booed before important constituencies. There's still a chance for him to turn things around, apologize for his wayward votes, adopt the winning stances, and grab the nomination. The real campaign is just getting started.

:D

4. You are right. CMB should not be dismissed
She is actually doing better than many candidates in some states. For instance, According to Quinnipiac Poll she has 6% support in Pennsylvania (with Sharpton, Graham, and Kucinich below her and she is tied with Edwards). In New Jersey she has 5% which is better than Graham, Edwards, and Kucinich in that state. In Connecticut she has 4% better than Sharpton, Kucinich, Graham, and Edwards. In her homestate of Illinois a Survey USA poll has her in the lead with 22% to 16% for Lieberman.

Nationally a Zogby poll gives her 2% but she is tied with or doing better than Kucinich and Graham in that poll and is statistically tied with Sharpton and Edwards.

This endorsement can help get her message out and with the high level of undecideds she could still make an impact.

12. She isn't going anywhere
Let's be realistic. She will drop out by New Hampshire, if not even earlier.

6. oh, I was assuming
because he is always sticking up for Lieberman and I don't recall him making points in the Dean threads.

My bad? Yes, I shouldn't assume, and of course I wouldn't be any hurry to stack Carol's momentum up against Dean's.

8. You either have no idea who his guy is
or you have no idea what is going on on the campaign trail. He is a Dean supporter.

11. I am not a Lieberman supporter
I support Dean. I just defend Lieberman against the unfair attacks he suffers here.

3. That'll be wonderful if they do indeed come through, gB!
She might be playing it more conservative, politically, than I can really appreciate, but she is a majorly strong feminist!

7. Carol is wonderful and she is a great candidate.
Even Dennis thinks so. I understand she is on his short list for VP. So if one of these two wins, America wins.

10. Really???
I haven't heard that, but I really like CMB, and I've been thinking that VP is the right spot for her this time around no matter who gets the nod. Of course, I'm a DK woman myself, and a DK/Braun ticket would knock my socks off.
