Newsday: Rep. Nadler endorses Howard Dean for president
http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wire/ny-bc-ny--dean-nadler0824aug24,0,3529848.story?coll=ny-ap-regional-wire

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Jerrold Nadler endorsed Democratic presidential contender Howard Dean on Sunday, saying he has shown he can energize the party's base and draw enough voters to defeat President Bush in 2004.

The endorsement comes as Dean, the former governor of Vermont, is scheduled to hold a Tuesday night rally in Manhattan's Bryant Park to cap a cross-country campaign swing.

"Dean has been the one candidate who has really been exciting people, exciting the base," said Nadler, who represents lower Manhattan and the Upper West Side. "He's telling the truth, and that's what we really need to beat George Bush."

6. Oh it is all a trick
Nadler is only endorsing Dean due to being under a hypnotic spell. He doesn't know any of Dean's positions. Dean's wife did his stomach stapling. Dean had tapes played while he was under. Yeah I am sure the usual suspects will show up to say those things.

8. Dean's Milwaukee Rally...
...Had the Democratic leader of the Wisconsin State Senate endorsing, which was very cool. Endorsements by state officials in the early primary states can be extremely helpful, but they're not necessarily deciding. Dean seems to be picking up key endorsements slowly but surely.

9. He has gotten a few
Vermont's delegation endorsed him (Sanders, Leahy, and Jeffords) but only one is a Democrat. He has been endorsed by one California Congresswoman (Woosley). There are probably some others but not a huge number.

19. thanks
On one I mixed up names and with Sanders it was his endorsement of Dean in 2000 for Governor that had me confused. Thanks for the clean up.
