Beta Test: New Howard Dean Web Site
Looking for some DUers to try out the new Pilots for Dean web site. Please post feedback to this thread. (Yes, I know the banner logo needs help. That's in progress.)

Thanks!

1. Nice site...
May be the banner logo problem you're working on, but it looks like your links in upper right are overlapping your "students for Dean" link.

I'll poke around a little bit later.

Frontpage looks fine. I'll do some clicking around later today. Nice job putting it together!

3. Interesting site.
I'm not a pilot, but I've been a passenger many times. :D

Were there really a lot of pilots who saw Bush as a fellow pilot and therefore sympathetic to their issues? I'm flabbergasted that that might have been the thinking on the part of any of them. Yeah, he learned to fly, and he did serve some sort of time as a pilot, but I doubt sincerely he ever identified with normal commercial airline pilots or any of the civil aviation pilots out there. He was the quintessential "flyboy", in it for his own glory and grandisement. Is grandisement a word? Oh, well, I'll use it anyway.

Hope the site accomplishes what it looks like you want to do: the further political education of a particular group. Best of luck.

5. Yes, Unfortunately, Lots of Pilots Voted for Bush
The big pilots association sent signals to its members that Bush was the one. I remember thinking his language (answering the association's questions) was much more "weasely." I was right.

4. As a former private pilot, your site looks great

I do miss flying, but it's gotten too expensive out here in Connecticut.

By the way, I earned my pilot's license in 1980 when I flew out of Kankakee airport. My brother and I were members of the Kankakee Valley flight club. The club sponsored flour bombings and spot landing contests a couple times of the year, and we would fly up to big Oshkosh, WI airshow every year.
