A Kerry poem I wrote
It all came to me in the shower one day. Just another shred of proof that Dean is not the only candidate that can inspire people. Hell, I'm young and Canadian, and I'm as pro-Kerry as they come.

John Kerry, a man of 59
My role model senator for all time
'04 is coming for you to shine

Twas in 'Nam he lost six friends
A grievous loss for which none can make amends
But because he tries, smiles does Heaven send

From keeping our pristine forests green
To keeping the noble face of justice clean
There's nary a fight John Kerry hasn't seen

He's a man who will declare
That we shouldn't sit and say, "Laissez-faire"
While injustice is ripping a baleful tear

Upon his record, please take a view
Iran-Contra, BCCI, the giants he slew!
And him a waffler? Do they even have a clue?

His is a life fraught with renown
Is there no greater justice, than to let him go down
On the streets of an American anytown

As a great man, a great citizen, and a great president?

2. I'm sure he would
I did send it to his website, but what are the chances they'll really look at it? It's a huge campaign that gets hundreds of emails a day, I bet.

4. If The Right Staffer Sees It

I'm sure he'll pass it along. Great job! I was going to tell you to read it at the next Meetup, but then I remembered you're, you know, one of those guys. Canadians.;)

Send it to the website!

Edited PS - Kerry is a big fan of poetry (Neruda and Eliot, if memory serves), and even writes his own poetry from time to time.

7. Top 4? He better be!
Lol, j/k. It's just that top 4 in a field of 9 doesn't seem like too much of an honour. But I know you have defended Kerry many times, despite your allegiance to DK, which I admire.

10. of course I am gonna defend Kerry
You know why? Despite the war vote hes always been a great senator. He could be 2 or 3 Kerry, I havent decided yet. I dont like the war in Iraq but to use it as a litmus test I cant do that, Kerry and I share simliar economic views compared to me and Dean, and to see Kerry called a bushite thats wrong, hes a hero and historically more anti war than Dean. I also will defend Dean if the attack is unjust like you saw last night, I wont support petions to boot him out. On Gephardt hes far from a Bush collebartor.
