Announcing Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Dean
Announcing Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Dean

If we are going to take back America, then we need to talk with, persuade, and reach out to all voters -- regardless of where they live, what languages they speak, and what perceptions we may think they have.

That is the idea behind Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Dean. Today we our launching our brand, spanking, new website that will serve as an online community and a resource tool for AAPI outreach. Some of the cool features include:

Contact information for 11 regional leaders

Flyers translated in different Asian languages

A speakers bureau of bilingual Dean supporters

Endorsements from elected officials and community leaders

You don't have to be Asian American or Pacific Islander to be a part of this movement. The beauty of the site is that, even if you can't join the committee, you can always download one of the flyers and drop it off at your local Chinese restaurant, Hindu temple, or Japanese garden. Check out Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Dean today!

Curtis Chin is a Los Angeles-based writer and volunteer for Howard Dean. He is a member of the Writers Guild and co-founded the Asian American Writers Workshop.
