Mitch Daniels condemns himself and Bush
Mitch Daniels, the former Budget Director in the Bush administration is running for Governor of Indiana. Mitch announced Comeback 1.0, a plan to revitalize the economy in Indiana. In true Republican fashion, the plan is devoid of specifics.

In calling for a change in leadership in Indiana, which has had Democrat as Governor for 15 years, Mitch said:

"Those folks who have been in charge during our decline are probably not best-suited (to manage) our recovery"

Well, here's a clue Mitch. You were in charge of the national budget that went from surplus to massive deficit which in turn put every state in financial crises. So clearly, you (and Bush) are not well suited to manage our recovery.

3. Definitely
Indiana is a very Republican state. However, with the massive hits in job loss the state has taken due to its dependance on manufacturing there may be sentiment to keep a Democrat in the Governors office.

With the death of Governor Frank O'Bannon last month, it is a little harder for Republicans to use the typical smear tactics. But most people I talk to think Mitch is a lock for the Governors office.

Hard to believe someone the presided over the largest negative financial swing in US history could be rewarded and given the opportunity to do the same thing over again.

Haw! Comeback 1.0
