1. Excellent!

I fell asleep early last night and missed this. Good interview! And . . . the opening rally was none other than the 2003 California Democratic Convention in which he brought the house down and I became a Dean convert.

3. Dean and Clark have Republican backgrounds

If I am not mistaken, Dean said in the interview he was a republican growing up. Given, he "converted" well before Clark changed his mind, but doesn't that take some of the talk out of the republican clark bashing? It really pisses me off to hear dean call Clark "a republican up until XX days ago." From reading everything Clark has to say and has said, he is remarkably close to dean. Flip flop on the war? Get real and get reading, its just not true.

-note, I find it ironic that the anti-Clark material appears first on the right wing web pages and migrates over to the left.

4. Dean changed to Dem in college

pretty much as soon as he became an adult. Not the same thing. He can't help that he was born to Repubs.

not saying its the same thing, just interesting. Not completely different either, Clark was in the military and its, as he says, "inherent conservatism." So wouldn't that have affected his views too? That obviously changed, and much of the conflict he had in the military had his liberal ideals at the core.
Dean is not as left as every one thinks, and Clark is not as Right.
