of getting nominated...putting them on the national ticket would guarantee a GOP House, Sentate and White House for a generation...

They might not win. But they are both fine speakers and fearless with the truth.

I have a better chance of my demands being met than you do.

I lived on the East Coast for nine years (within reach of the NYC media) and before I heard Sharpton speak in the recent debates, I remembered him mostly as a publicity hound who was involved in some dubious incidents. I believe that he ran for office in New York City and did not get elected because he had such high negatives.

My initial reaction to his candidacy was, "Oh, yeah, right."

Having heard him in two debates, I agree that he is a forceful speaker with his heart in the right place, but of all the candidates, he would be the easiest for the Republicans to smear. (Just as Teddy Kennedy never ran for president, because if he had, the news channels would have become all-Chappaquiddick all the time.)

I think he would make a terrific press secretary, though, and he absolutely must have a chance to speak at the Convention.

I am currently leaning Sharpton for the primaries.

The prevailing "wisdom" right now is that they are too fringe, they can't win. I think if given the chance, any combo of the 10(I include Bob Graham) could beat bush*. I see our problem as too many good choices. DK/AS would need everyone to drop out and give them the extra time to take their message to the people. It is just a matter of time and coverage and DK/AS WOULD win the people with their message, it would be a landslide for the dems. bushco* CANNOT hold up under the truth, and as far as I've seen so far, Sharpton is out front with Kucinich a very close second. I don't mean in any way that the others are less truthful, just that some are still tied into their political campaignspeech-speak, which seeks to temper the message to attain broader appeal which in my opinion, mutes the message's effectiveness.

My fall back plan would be Dennis still in the House fighting as always and Rev. Al as Press Secretary. When this happens I only hope they give fauxnews 10 extra press passes becasue Al will chew them up.

Both were under constant attack from the other side, both won handily because the Democrats decided any candidate could beat them. Mondale and Dole both lost, obviously. It doesn't matter how unpopular a president is (Clinton had a 38% approval, Reagan had 32% at mid term), someone has to beat them.

She is dignfied, but doesn't take anything from anybody. She had one of the best closing statements, too.

By that I mean that her closing statement fulfilled the assignment of offering a concise summary of why people should vote for her.

I'd go with Braun / Kucinich .

Dont do it to us, and DK/AS isnt my dream ticket FYI. I still dont see where that beloved swing voter is gonna despise Kucinich and go for Bush just at the snap of hand. So I said ahem.

Sharpton is a great speaker and Dennis has proven than he can stand up to corporate theives while in office. These two would be great together. It would require faith in the American people. But if we don't have that, we might as well give up and just turn the country over to the Republicans.

In reality, I'd like CMB to return to the senate, where we would gain some votes. Still, I think she'd make a great vp, as well.
