Oklahoma - Clark organization

Someone last week was complaining about the lack of a Clark orgaization in Oklahoma. Actually, they said rumors were that he was going to skip Oklahoma. I, of course, said that it wasn't true.

Things are in full swing now. The first big meeting is this Sunday.
Any Okies that want to get in on the ground floor should come!

We have a growing number of volunteers who want to organize the Oklahoma campaign. We invite you to attend the Oklahomans For Clark Planning/Organization meeting in Okmulgee, OK on Sunday, November 2 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Volunteers from across Oklahoma will join us for a four-hour planning session focused on our February 3, 2004 primary.

The day's three principal goals are:

1. Enable each of us to learn from the five months of the Draft Clark movements. We will cover Lessons Learned, Success Stories, and an overview of the national and state organization.

2. Create Congressional District/County operational plans to secure the majority of the 47 Oklahoma National Delegates. We will describe the delegate selection process, Clark04 campaign tools and materials, and break out into Congressional Districts or Counties to develop the initial operational plan framework.

3. Identify county, community, or constituency coordinators. We continue to look for individuals to step up and take leadership positions.

WHERE: Okmulgee, OK - OSU - Okmulgee, Student Union Building, 1801 4th St., Okmulgee, OK 74447. (Driving directions and room numbers will be provided to attendees)

That would be STUPID. As a border state to his home state Clark must win there. I have seen no polls from OK and if you know of any please share.

Outside of Norman and Stillwater, I can't see where Howard Dean would have appeal.

of how I thought each candidate would do, and what their chance were here. Then I pressed post and got that message that says you goofed, and then went back and it was gone.

So far the strongest here are Edwards, Clark, and then Gephardt...then maybe Lieberman (I don't know ANYONE who supports him but he is spending money and time here)

Of course he isn't. That was just some stupid gossip.

Since I am a new college student, I am kind of curious to see what kind of politicians we will get to come and speak here.
I would think with stuff like Rock the Vote, and so on we could get a wide variety.

I would like to drive over for this meeting. But first, has Clark sanctioned this meeting? Has Clark officially named a State Chair for Oklahoma? If he has, then who is it? Is there a headquarters office in Oklahoma where Clark supporters can get info, bumper stickers, etc? I have been working in the Little Rock Office several days a week and I do not hear or agree with what you people are posting about Clark in Oklahoma.
Or is this the remnants of an outcast group of Clarkies who didn’t get jobs in Little Rock?

Granted, Oklahoma looms big since it is a an early primary state and Clark already has a nice lead there. So what gives? Is there an official Clark presence in Oklahoma or not?
