O'Reilly Says Okay to Clooney
I love Clooneys remarks to O'falafel about "with us or against us."

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=796&e=1&u=/eo/20050112/en_celeb_eo/15691

The Fox News host has accepted Clooney's invite to appear on the Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope telethon, set to air Saturday on NBC and its cable networks.

O'Reilly made the announcement Tuesday morning on his radio show

One day after addressing a lengthy missive to O'Reilly, in which he accused the broadcaster of undermining the telethon with remarks on his cable show, and challenged him to appear at the fundraiser, Clooney dashed off another note.

"We're not playing games here, we're trying to save lives," Clooney wrote, reacting to O'Reilly's iffy-response to the invite on Monday's O'Reilly Factor. "It's as simple as this: you're either with this joint effort or against it."

O'Liely" night? That would be wonderful!
And yes, I agree, Clooney's remarks rocked! KO had the text of George's letter tonight.
Edited to add (part of Clooney's letter):

I'm booking the talent for the Tsunami event ... and you, Mr. O'Reilly, are now officially invited to be a presenter ... . ... This way, you can personally follow up on our fund-raising. ... This is your chance to put your considerable money where your considerable mouth is. ... Show up ... help raise money ... and if we're doing something wrong, point it out.

"Either you ante up and help out and be that watchdog that you feel we clearly need ... or you simply stand on the sidelines and cast stones."

12. Gee, I wonder what "talent" O'Reilly will bring to the show
Maybe he'll juggle falafels... or juggle vibrators... or BOTH.

Maybe he'll answer phones and will talk dirty to the callers for a big enough donation, and scream SHUT UP if he feels you're not being generous enough.

13. O'Reilly will use this to burnish his image, after the sexual harassment
Allegations. There is no way this can be bad for him. He will call it compassionate conservatism in action. I just hope it helps raise more money for the tsunami victims, than if he wasn't there.

15. I love this line:
"This is your chance to put your considerable money where your considerable mouth is." The rest of the paragraph is great, too.

I've loved George for years - there's just something about the guy. The looks certainly don't hurt, either!

17. O'Reilly
Ed Schultz is going to be on O'Reilly's show tomorrow. Could be some fireworks there...will be quite an exchange I'd imagine.

18. I heard that
It will be one of the few times I will watch Bill's show. I expect to be flipping between him and something else before the Ed Schultz segment.

Will Ed reach or surpass the Al Franken level of irritation with Bill?
