I would like to ask you about how much trust you have in certain institutions. For each of the following institutions, please tell me if you tend to trust it or tend not to trust it.

Tend to trust / Tend not to trust

The press 22% / 62%

Television 22% / 58%

Radio 43% / 33%

Methodology: Online interviews to 2,092 American adults, conducted from Dec. 8 to Dec. 15, 2004. Margin of error is 3 per cent.

1. Maybe the penny has dropped-- it's about time
God, people can be slow to catch on to things...

But I find that encouraging. I hope, eventually, people will seek their news via Internet because TV is the WORST place to get news.

Newspapers aren't quite as bad as TV.

3. A fair number of people don't trust it because of alleged liberal bias

I always get comments on my FAIR t-shirt ("Don't trust the corporate media") and some have agreed with the message–then gone on to complain about the SCLM.

I don't believe for a minute that Americans are wising up at last.

4. All out of country media has commented on how the US press
and media never did question the war or hardly anything this administration has done and as such, has as much responsibility as anyone for what has happened.

The US Media are nothing but corporate puppets.
