"The Elizabeth Smart Story"

On CBS right now-"Elizabeth Smart, America's Child"

Her parents claim that THE DAY AFTER their child was kidnapped, people were knocking on their door , attempting to get them to sign up for a movie about their family's ordeal. :puke:

Parents say some people got mad at them for not biting, and threatened them saying they would make a movie with or without their help.

They went with CBS. Is this not sick? What is wrong with this picture? What about this level of care and concern for all the other kids who have been abducted, or who are abused, or don't have health care?

I am getting more and more disgusted by this country.

Wealthy, two parent, religious family and of course, well, you know, white.

The networks could care less about some black crack baby who is left in a garbage can to die.

2. If one-half the interest

in children's issues was shown that is being shown to a dumb tv movie, a lot of people could do a lot of good for a lot of kids.

Instead of concentrating on one "kidnapped" child, the ?MEDIA? should be doing real news. You know stuff like children are now homeless and starving because of Shrubbie's cuts in taxes for the wealthy and social spending. :smoke:

6. I just heard

Than NBC got an interview with Elizabeth Smart that will air next week.

A god damned 15 year old who was KIDNAPPED is going to give an interview on national TV.

The excitement in the voice of the talking head that announced it was just creepy.
