Funny, how the cartoonist didn't get anything other than the RW/Bush spin:



Seems to me that the subject of the cartoon would have been one of the Iraqis greeting the US with flowers, not one that would be fighting them.

After reading some of the replies, it seems that you guys aren't getting what I'm trying to say.

The cartoonist is doing the Right Wing spin. "Oh, this guy is thinking it's better!"

My point is this: WHY WOULD THIS GUY BE HELD BY THE US SOLDIERS AS AN ENEMY COMBATANT IF SADDAM'S FORCES WERE RAPING HIS WIFE (AND LIKELY HIS KIDS) AND KILLING HIS CHILDREN? WOULDN'T SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAVE TURNED HIM INTO A US-COLLABORATING FREEDOM FIGHTER?????

If so, then why is he being tortured?

I think it's just a form of 'irony', someone in that position claiming that things are 'looking up'.
