Phil Hendrie-- Quailty Satire or Right-wing Whining?

I listened to Phil Hendrie a few mouths back and what stuck me about him was that he:

1. Mocked the right-wing savagely

2. Attacked the guy from Jethro Tull for sayig some un-patriotic thing or another.

horrible impersonations and a dull show...

...stealthy sometimes but when he talks about Israel the bias becomes clear.

He's a very talented broadcaster, very funny satire. Gets old after a while, though, because it starts to all sound the same. He's become a major Republican shill these last few years but here's my theory on that:

Hendrie's been courting FOX to pick up a t.v. show of his that he's had in the works for some time. It may be too simple, but I think he thought to himself some time ago that his carreer was more important than selling out to the PugWhores. SO, he traded self respect and dignity for a chance for a better payday. He figured that no matter what happened with the war, he would still have to pay bills and so it didn't bother him to walk the FOX walk.

I found it really unfunny. It was just not very funny at all. Just a guy trying really really hard to be funny which is just not funny. It gets old after about 60 seconds.

Then he became kind of a kook. I guess because he got on armed forces radio or something he feels the need to kiss the army's ass. But a lot of the skits are funny, some aren't, but if you're putting on a three hour show every day there's gonna be some crap in there.

Besides the war he's pretty much a liberal, and will defend liberals when some nutjob calls him and starts complaining about them.

I'm sorry, but put it this way, Phil Hendrie is broadcasted on AM1500 in MN...

C'mon, guys, it's a goof. :) He probably got tired of people thinking they were smart just because they were in on the joke, so he turned the tables on them as well.

Kind of like, "it's funny until the joke's on you." This topic just solidifies that point. The man's a genius! (imo :))

He does one "Straight" segment each show which is one long anti-Kerry rant.

The fake segments grow old pretty fast
