Troops suffer 2 more deaths

As of Thursday, 248 U.S. soldiers have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq, military officials said.
The British government has reported 43 deaths.
On or since May 1, when President Bush declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 112 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq, military figures show.
The latest deaths reported by the U.S. military:
A soldier was killed Thursday when his armored personnel carrier hit a land mine on the dangerous road from central Baghdad to the city's airport.
A soldier was killed late Wednesday by small-arms fire northeast of Baghdad. The Defense Department did not release the victims' names Thursday.
