I'm just wondering why none of the US companies are interested in helping poor Americans keep their homes warm this winter. Does Hugo Chavez love America more than all of them?

4. Oil reps in Wisconsin
After reports of record-breaking profits in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Wisconsin's Governor Jim Doyle subpoenaed big oil executives to explain why they shouldn't return some of their ill-gotten gains to the citizens of Wisconsin through rebates or funding of low-income fuel assistance programs, etc.

The execs didn't show, sending their lackeys instead. When questioned directly about returning some of the money at a hearing on Thursday, 12/01, one of the trolls responded that she "Didn't have a response to that question."

Of course not.

5. That was bold of Gov. Doyle to demand accountability
too bad the other Governors aren't doing the same. BTW, welcome to DU Monk.
